Project Information

There are various types of carbon credits that can be used for your carbon offsetting and reforestation projects which contribute to carbon removal available as your option. The cost to offset or remove one tonne of CO2 varies depending on which menu you choose. This section describes each type of projects, which the carbon credits have been originated from and reforestation projects. You will be able to choose your most favorable project that you wish to support. We have provided two main types of methods for you to participate in this voluntary action:

1. You may purchase carbon credits that originated from a CO2 emission reduction project
and nullify the credit.

You would contribute towards the project through purchase of the credit. The nullyfication of the
credit means that it is used up to offset your CO2 emission.

2. You may choose to contribute to forestation project.
Your payment will go to a forestation project. The project managing company will plant trees and maintain them on behalf of you. The trees will slowly remove carbon from the environment and fix it into themselves as they grow over the years.

The cost of solar power generation is high compared to other renewable energy options, thus there is still little CDM project
based on solar power (in June 2008 there were 2 registered solar power CDM projects).
